About This Program

Buoyed by the success of the women empowerment program in Bangalore, we have started a similar program in Hyderabad. This program covers ten women who have gone through initial screening and, after all the background checks, small businesses for physically challenged/widowed women have been set up. This program starts with initial funding (Rs 25,000 per woman) and mentoring to develop the needed skill sets to manage a small business. Ten differently abled women have been identified to provide the necessary financial assistance to set up their own business (i.e. Xerox center, beauty parlour). As before, this project is done in partnership with Pure India, an NGO in Jaipur (www.pureindia.org).
